Artist Janet Bates invited Campervan Films to join her and her family on a boat trip along the River Nene in Cambridgeshire. The boat ride and picnic was to celebrate her mum’s birthday and Jan asked us to create a lasting film record of the day. Nice idea!

After a pleasant evening at my favourite Peak District campsite at Monsal Head, we headed for Eroica in Bakewell to make this:

Last night we stayed at the amazing Smithson Farm campsite, near Burnley. Stay there, visit the on-site mining museum and enjoy a fabulous cooked breakfast from Carole. It deserves a film of its own, so we might be back.

On Sunday 12 June Fanny the Tranny took to the road (the M6) on her first official production job. She headed for Liverpool and the International Festival for Business at Albert Dock. On Sunday evening we stayed at Formby Point Caravan Park and took a long walk on the spectacular beach and dunes.

The dark clouds that threatened a storm came to nothing and we had a lovely evening by the sea. You should visit Formby Point and go along to the Gormleys at Crosby.

GARMIN has asked Campervan Films to try its dedicated motorhome satnav and we’re happy to oblige. We’ll put the 760 through its paces for a few weeks and then make a short film about how it performs.
